This is the process I use to create perfectly manicured nails using the Kiara Sky Dip Powder System. See below for my step-by-step instructions:
Prep the nail:
- cut nails to desired length (skip this step if you want your nails to grow)
- shape nail (round, square, coffin, almond)
- apply instant cuticle remover to cuticles
- push back cuticles with cuticle pusher
- wipe off excess cuticle remover serum
- trim cuticles with cuticle nippers
- lightly buff nail (I use my cuticle remover bit on my nail drill on a low speed)
- wash hands
- wipe each nail with a pad saturated in rubbing alcohol to sanitize the nail
nails are now prepped for this dip system
Kiara Sky Dip Powder Steps:

- wait at least 2 minutes for first layer of top coat to air dry completely
- apply second layer of top coat (#4)
- once the second layer of top coat has dried apply the nourish oil (#5) to the cuticle and massage
And voila!! You have beautifully manicured nails!
A few important tips!
Be sure to apply a thin layer of base coat to prevent your nails from becoming too thick
Prevent touching your cuticle with the base and top coat brushes to prevent the nail from lifting as it grows out due to the uneven surface. Your hair will catch on it and it will drive you crazy
The top coat can be tricky. Make sure you use very quick strokes to prevent the brush from hardening. I usually keep 2 bottles of top coat on hand just in case.
Make sure you don’t get the base and top coat polish on the neck of the bottle where the cap twists on. If you do it will harden and make it nearly impossible to open again. I’d recommend wiping the neck of the bottle before applying the cap and putting it away
Be patient with yourself as you learn this process!
